The 16th release in the successful “Masterpieces of Art” series celebrates ‘Adele Bloch-Bauer I’ by Gustav Klimt.

Gustav Klimts portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer, the beautiful, seductive Viennese Jewish salon hostess, completed between 1903 and 1907, was one of the most emblematic portraits of its time.

Each coin is meticulously struck by B. H. Mayers Kunstprageanstalt GmbH Germany from 3oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality and finished with colour and 16 clear Swarovski Crystals.

DESIGN

The reverse design features a full colour representation of Gustav Klimt’s ‘Adele Bloch-Bauer I’ over a silver architectural background, with 16 clear Swarovski Crystals set on either side of the painting. Also featured on the reverse is a painter’s palette with paintbrush and the inscriptions ‘MASTERPIECES OF ART‘, ‘2012‘ and ‘GUSTAV KLIMT‘.

The obverse of the coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and 20 COOK ISLANDS DOLLARS denomination.

PRESENTATION

The coin is housed in a black display case with silver print. The case is packaged in a grey cardboard shipper-sleeve and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
