The Barclays Bank was open in Canada under the name “Barclays Bank (Canada)” from 1929 until 1956. The bank originally opened in Canada with headquarters in Montreal. It also had offices in Toronto and Vancouver. The Bank had a Canadian board of directors, but the bank was still run by its British owners.
