2002 Specimen Set with Family of Loons
This 2002 Specimen Set comes with an all-new Canadian $1 Loon design to commemorate its 15th Anniversary. It should be noted that the Common Loon Dollar was originally issued in 1987 with an image that depicts a solitary common loon, which is used to signify the grace of the Canadian wilderness. This loon dollar in this special specimen set depicts a family of loons in their natural habitat. They are wonderfully rendered by acclaimed Canadian wildlife artist Jean-Luc Grondin. This wonderful set of 7 coins come packaged in a keepsake leatherette case with a cardboard outer sleeve. Please note that this outer sleeve may have some light wear, as typical for this set.
This Specimen graded set has seven coins- 1 Cent, 5 Cents, 10 Cents, 25 Cents, 50 Cents, Family of Loons Dollar and Two Dollar coin. The set comes in a leatherette case.
