Issued to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of the City of Toronto in 1834.

In 1834, Toronto, with a population of approximately 9,000 was incorporated as a city. Later after this development, it continued to grow rapidly until it turned into a flourishing city. Celebrate this momentous occasion with this Toronto’s Sesquicentennial Silver Dollar Coin. Released in 1984, it comes with a reverse design by Toronto artist David Craig and depicts an Indian who is riding a canoe in the foreground and an image of the city of Toronto in the background. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity, a clamshell case, and an outer sleeve.
